Im sorry belly button
Oh my poor belly button I'm sorry Ive neglected you for so many years. Ive tanned you, pierced you, and never put lotion on you. I took for granted how cute you were and now you are deformed!!! The baby's new thing is to push out my belly button to freak me out! At this moment half my belly button is an outie and the other half is an inie! The baby did this last night too but when I stood up it went away but not this time. Hopefully she will get bored soon and leave it alone. I told Jeff when my belly button popped I was done, like a turkey. But I'm not done yet. This baby has to cook for at least two and half more months!!!

There must be something in the water
I had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything is going well. I'm up ten pounds from my starting weight. It was kind of shocking when I stepped on the scale but its mostly baby right. According to the baby book the baby is about 2 1/2 pound and 16 inches long! Its kind of weird to think that our baby is that big and fits somewhere in my bump. Thankfully, she likes to be all curled up, even if its all curled up under my ribs. That seems to be her new favorite place to be which makes it a little uncomfortable to sit down. I either have to stand up or lay down and stretch out.
I also had my first baby shower on Sunday. The girls from work were so nice and set up an amazing brunch. We got lots of clothes and blankets for the baby. We also got our infant/toddler seat.

Its time to party!
So the baby is awake! And I think having a little dance party! She has been moving around for a good 40 minutes now, if only she would of been like this yesterday. She is even playing little games today, by games I mean I push on my belly and she pushes back. Well at least I know this about her personality so far, she will never do what you want her to and she is a good sleeper. I guess Ill take the good with the bad!

Sleepy Little Girl
So Thursday was Jeff's birthday, the big 3-0, he is officially old or aged to perfection! Anyways, for his birthday I set up an ultrasound so him and the baby could have their first daddy-daughter date and she slept through the whole thing! She wouldn't wake up for anything! Thankfully our ultrasound tech was so nice and let us reschedule. So we scheduled another ultrasound for today at 11. I ate something an hour before, I even skipped the recommended juice and went straight for the caffeine. And still nothing! She slept the whole time again! We did get some movement this time but it was just her moving her hands in front of her face. She is so cute though. The pictures are from Thursday night, the ones from today don't show her face because she has her hands in her face and then she turned her back towards us.
Her hands up by her face. Her smiley face and her chubby cheeks : )
Her foot in front of her face! You can also see that her mouth is open.
She just loves to sleep, look at that smile!!!
What a happy baby!
Even though we didn't get to see her moving around it was so nice just to see her face. This is what she is going to look like when she is born, hopefully and little chubbier but that is her face. We also have a DVD of the ultrasound so that is a nice little keepsake. I can just see it now, when she is a teenage we will show it to all her friends or be watching it when some boy comes to pick her up for a date. If I can figure out how to download the DVD to the computer I will post it for everyone to see.
Also this week I have gotten a lot bigger. Or at least that is how I feel.
Another exciting thing this week is that we have finally decided on a name! Her name will be Katherine Elizabeth Sagel and we will call her Kate. Finally she has a name!

Double Digits
On my home Google page I have a countdown until the baby is due and today it went to double digits!!! Only 99 more days!!! It so crazy, I'm six months pregnant now and I will soon be in the third trimester. Time is sure flying by!!! I feel like I'm in the perfect stage of my pregnancy. The morning sickness is gone, thank god!!! I'm not too big yet so I can still do daily activities, even though laundry is getting a little hard to carry up and down the stairs. Ive been just pushing it down the stairs hoping that the laundry stays in the basket. I get to enjoy the little kicks and pushes from the baby multiple times during the day. I think she even had the hiccups the other day. It was a little very steady movement. It was kinda neat! I hope this stage of pregnancy last a lot longer.
My baby bump has grown quite a bit since the last picture and looking back on the picture its amazing how much I've changed in four weeks. And Ill only get bigger!
Halloween was good at our house. We had lots of little kids come trick or treating. Then we went to Grandma Focke's, Jeff's grandma, to visit with family and to see the girls in their costumes. Just think next year we will have a little girl that will go trick or treating. Well maybe not trick or treating but she can dress up and help hand out candy. I think the animals will enjoy that, my energy will go towards the baby and not them.

Hopefully the baby will be more cooperative and happy about her costume.
