9 months is too long to wait!
After last weeks doctors appointment I really thought we would have a baby this week but after yesterdays appointment that thinking went out the window. Everything looked good and the baby's heartbeat was good but there was no more progress and the doctor said my cervix is still pretty far up which means no baby this week. I was just so shocked because the whole day before I had contractions every 10 minutes and they didn't do anything! Needless to say I was kind of disappointed. They shouldn't even tell you if there is progress because before they started doing progress reports I just figured Kate would be late because Jeff and I were both two weeks late. Sorry mommy! At this point I'm starting to feel a little depressed. I'm calling it "Get this baby out of me" depression! I'm just tired of being pregnant. I'm tired of never having anything to wear, going to the bathroom every hour on the hour, carrying an extra 30 pounds around, my back hurting, my ribs hurting, my wedding ring cutting off circulation when they do fit, annoying contractions that aren't doing anything, feeling like a beached whale every time I try to get out of bed, and most of all I'm tired of being tired!
I think everyone is ready to meet Kate, even Bella! She is ready to be a big sister!
She just loves sitting in that chair, if we are in Kate's room Bella is in that chair. The good thing about thinking Kate would be here this week, it motivated us to get all the last minute things done. As you can see in the background the ugly green blinds are gone and are replaced with nice cordless blinds. They are really cool, we are actually thinking about replacing all the vinyl blinds in the kitchen with these kind of blinds. We also made the letters to go above the crib. They turned out really good and it was fun to do something like this with Jeff.
Upon request and just because I love my Aunt Vicki so much here is a updated picture of the baby bump. Its really not a bump anymore it more like a mountain! Ugh!!!
Some other news, Friday is my last day of work until April or so! I didn't really think I would have a lot of time between my last day and when Kate is born, actually I didn't think I would make it to Friday. But since it looks like I will have some time I'm going to spend next week scrapbooking and making sure we are ready for miss Kate. Poor Jeff's honey do list may get longer!

More Progress
I had another doctors appointment today. Everything continues to look good and I am 3 cm and 60% effaced. So now we just have to play the waiting game. The doctor said that Kate could be here by the end of the week or it could be three weeks from now. I have been having contractions everyday but nothing that is consistent. Its kind of just a tease! I wish there was a test that they could do to tell you the day you will go into labor.

Progress
I had a doctors appointment today. Everything still looks fine. Kate's heartbeat was 152 bpm and she is measuring right on track for 36 weeks, which means she is about 5 1/2 pounds. The doctors also did an internal exam today and I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced, thinning of the cervix! I was excited to hear there is progress being made but at the same time it doesn't mean that Kate will be here next week. But it is something!

Playing Catch Up
So Ive been really neglecting this poor blog lately. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday. We spent sometime with family and just hung out the week after Christmas. Most of the week was spent in our pjs, watching movies. It was so nice to spend time together and not having anything to do. I'm a little sad that it is over. Its probably the last week we will ever have as just the two of us with nothing to do.
Kate had a good Christmas, she got lots of presents. Its kinda funny she isn't even here yet and she is already getting spoiled! She has been growing and becoming more and more active. Kicks have become very powerful, at times I cant help but say ouch. I also get an elbow, heel or even a foot every once in a while which is very strange because this little thing comes shooting out of my side. Ive gotten to the point where I am very uncomfortable at time and I am ready to be done! Its funny because when I first found out I was pregnant I was so scared for the actual birth and everyone told me by then I will be so ready to have the baby that I wouldn't care what it took to get her out. Well I am there! Only 5 more weeks!!!
We also have Kate's room all put together. Even though it seems like I reorganize it every other week because of all her stuff! Here are some pictures...
Her crib and bedding. I love her bedding it is so much prettier in person. I still want to replace the blinds, the green really doesn't match, and put something on the wall over her bed.

Dresser/changing table. The pictures around the room are the same pictures I had in my room when I was little.
We figured we needed a comfortable chair and whats more comfortable than a recliner. Even Bella thinks so!
