3 Hour Glucose Test

So I had my test on Tuesday morning and results came back fine! It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The four hours went by quickly and I didn't feel horrible from fasting. Having my blood drawn four times in four hours wasn't fun but it wasn't too bad either. All in all everything worked out!
I had another first yesterday! Everyone that I work with in my department knows that I'm pregnant. After two weeks of being sick I had to tell them that it was morning sickness and not a horrible disease. Anyways, everyone in the department knows but very few parents or children know. So yesterday I was working and one of the moms asked if I was pregnant. That was the first time anyone asked if I was or not! I guess there's no hiding my baby bump now! Baby Sagel wants to be seen and as Ive come to find out she like the attention!

Failed

So I had my appointment today and everything looks good with me and the baby but I failed my one hour glucose test. This doesn't mean that I have diabetes it just means that I have to take a three hour glucose test. The three hour test will tell me if I have diabetes or not. So tomorrow at 7:30am I have the pleasure of sitting in the hospital for three hours and to get poked every hour! Hopefully tomorrow the finger poking goes a little better, they had to poke me four times before they could get enough blood. I also have to fast before this test which would normally not bother me but telling a pregnant women she cant eat is like telling an infant not to cry. Hopefully everything will be fine!

24 Weeks

I will be 24 weeks on Tuesday. Only four more weeks until I'm in my third trimester. Crazy!!! I feel like the second trimester is going by so quickly. It could because I'm not sick everyday anymore. I am starting to slow down again, I don't have the energy I did a couple of weeks ago. I'm also starting to feel sick again, I haven't gotten sick I just feel sick off and on.
I have another doctors appointment tomorrow and my glucose test is tomorrow too. I have to drink this orange drink and have a blood test within an hour of drinking it. They are just checking to make sure I haven't developed diabetes. I don't think this will be a problem, so hopefully I pass. Well I hope so at least. I don't think I can live without sugar : )

Goodbye Morning Sickness

That's right its been two weeks since Ive gotten sick! I didn't want to get too excited last week but this week I am excited! Ive been waiting for this day for three months!!! (Happy dance) Pregnancy is pretty enjoyable right now, I feel like a normal person. A normal person that needs 12 hours of sleep at night, but a normal person!
The baby is now about a pound and she is moving like crazy now a days. It seems like she is awake in the morning then sleeps most of the day and back awake right after dinner. Her kicks are getting stronger they even make Jeff say "man that must hurt". They don't hurt but it is distracting. Its hard to focus when it looks like your baby is making popcorn in there.
The baby's name is still under debate. Jeff has made up his mind and wont consider anything else. That man is so stubborn!!! His choice isn't a bad name I just have some issues with it. Ill just keep thinking of better names : ) Hopefully she will have a name by the time she arrives.
